the
museum

Located in the heart of the Luberon Regional Park at 20 km from Avignon the Lavender Museum reveals to visitors the know-how and the passion of a family who has been cultivating and distilling excellence in fine lavender (not to be confused with lavandine) for several generations.

The exhibition gathers the most important collection of red copper stills from the 16th century to today, traditional artefacts and audio guides (French, English, German, Italian and Chinese) give our visitors the freedom to hang around pieces of collection and discover this precious lavender.

The projection of 2 documentaries shows the grower’s work (cutting, distillation & plantation) the way it is done today in our growing estate of Le Château du Bois (property of the Lavender Museum) between the mountains of Luberon and Mont Ventoux.
